Yesterday I saw my therapist and we talked about a consortium of things. One being my laundry compulsion. She told me to start doing laundry every other day, instead of multiple times a day, and then do some other sort of household task in place of the laundry. And hopefully that’ll take my mind off of the laundry.
Well, I was doing great, not feeling like I had to compulse, until I came downstairs and there were was a pile of dirty towels my sister likes to hoard upstairs until they need to be done. And it’s like, I think she takes advantage of the fact that I DO have an OCD and can’t stand seeing dirty laundry. It pisses me off.
Right now I just want to rip my hair out because I’m so pissed off at myself (and her). But I’m going to make a deal with myself and only do ONE load of laundry today, none tomorrow, and possibly none on Wednesday.
It’s a slow starting week and so far it’s shitty… and I’m not happy.
